The system does not power down when there are still some unsaved docs etc, even if I tell the system to ignore this. Despite having changed everything to English, key messages still come in Chinese. etc. etc.

This is Windows failing to understand my language preferences and preferences of other people. In addition to that, some applications refuse to install for other reasons.
